While many of us are still cleaning up after the mess left behind from the lack of government oversight of our country's financial system, the shooting death of an 8-year- old boy with an Uzi is further evidence as to why government regulation can be a very good thing.
Over the weekend, 8-year-old Christopher Bizilj and his father were participating in the Westfield Sportsman's Club Machine Gun Shoot in western Massachusetts. The event organizers boasted in an advertisement that the $5 entry fee was waived for children under age 16
and
"no age limit or licenses required to shoot machine guns."
