those huggable huckabees!

Ninth-tier republican candidate for prez,
Mike Huckabee
proves to be rather outspoken concerning the

past and private issues of others in the public eye.

I guess he might be at least familiar with that other tome
about casting stones...

At age 18, Huckabee’s son David was fired by the Boy Scouts as a camp counselor after he and another counselor captured a stray dog, hanged him by the neck, slit his throat and stoned him to death.

Papa Huckabee to the rescue!
Governor of Arkansas at the time, he fired a local prosecutor who had investigated the matter with the ai
m of filing animal cruelty charges against David and the other "boy".

The Hucklet has since butted his enormous head
with the law, it seems:

David briefly caught the national spotlight in April by getting arrested for trying to carry a loaded handgun(Glock) through airport security.

His father called the situation just "one of those stupid things"

I guess!

While an elected student leader in college, the little Huckster's questionable private business dealings with a student organization created a local controversy that resulted in Huckabee bitterly paying for business licenses with over 6,000 pennies.

A Little Rock paper even ran an unsubstantiated charge about marijuana that earned them a libel suit.
and let's not forget the "little" woman?
after a 2010 mishap in which an Arkansas State Trooper charged Janet Huckabee for merging into the lane of another car, causing a three-vehicle accident(she caused the others to collide) she received a “reserve judgment,” an agreement that previous charges of careless and prohibited driving would be dismissed if Huckabee doesn’t get into any more vehicular trouble for at least six months.

Witnesses to the accident claimed the Mrs. had been on her cell phone at the time — a charge she forcefully contested.

Newly released video obtained by the Arkansas Times captured Huckabee’s heated exchange with the police officer just after being issued a ticket for accident:

Sign o' the Times (Square)

Mayors Against Illegal Guns co-chair and New York City Mayor
Michael R. Bloomberg today launched the FixGunChecks.org Truck Tour
in New York City’s Times Square.

The FixGunChecks.org truck features a mobile billboard that will travel the country for two months to draw public attention to the deadly problems in the nation’s gun background check system.
The truck features a clock that will toll the tragic count of Americans that have been murdered with guns since the Tucson shooting.
Thirty-four people are murdered with guns every day in the United States.
The truck tour is part of an online campaign, www.fixgunchecks.org that urges Congress to take two simple but critical steps to fix the broken background check system: 1) ensure that the names of all people prohibited from buying a gun are in the database; and 2) subject every gun sale to a background check. Since the campaign launched in January, more than 250,000 people have signed an online petition and urged the President and Congress to fix the system.
