how can we, at once,
be so arrogant as to presume we are the only sentient life form in the universe
and also claim we are too insignificant
to have any effect on our oceans/climate?

- On December 6 2000 we received the most devastating news a family can hear. Marty, beloved son,brother,husband - my dear cousin had been shot and killed. The newspaper article read "Our Son, Murdered for A Joy Ride" Six hours after Marty was slain police spotted his stolen car and apprehended 17 year old Derick Ford already in violation of a custody order, already a convicted felon. He is now serving a life sentence without parole. "It's a sad story, like so many I know"
